Joe was a super athlete and was a good friend to his team mates. He was a quiet person that was always up for a good time. My best memory of Joe was during a Jr High Basketball game when he practically single handedly won a game, from a large point deficit. Everyone liked Joe Wells.
Joe was not only a team mate on the football team but we became good friends later on. We ran in to each other at least two times a week we talked about things that was going on around Madison and football games and who we had talked to that week. He always ask how my kids were doing.
